Preparation: Place 1 slightly heaping tsp of loose leaf tea for each 7-9oz/200-260ml of water in your pot. Pour freshly boiled water over tea. Steep 3-7 minutes. Add you favorite milk and sweetener. We like non-dairy milks like almond or oat milk, and maple syrup or honey as a sweetener.
Iced Tea: In a saucepan boil 1 1/4 cup of water onto 6 tsp of loose leaf tea and steep in water for 10 minutes. Steep for 5 minutes. Quarter fill serving pitcher with cold water. Pour tea into pitcher making sure to strain it. Place in refrigerator until chilled (at least 1 hr), then add ice and sweeter of your choosing. Serve and enjoy!
Tip: The longer you let the tea steep, the stronger the tea tastes. This is especially true for green teas, which can get bitter the longer you steep so no need to steep too long unless you enjoy a stronger flavor. You can remove the tea from the water with a tea ball, or strainer to save for future use.
